Hello beautiful soul!
Relationships are our biggest teachers and bring out everything that we need to heal.
(This applies to any relationship, friendships or with family)
Sometimes it’s easier to blame the other person or relationship, but in order to grow we have to take the person out of the equation.
It isn’t really ever about them.
Look at how you showed up, how you felt, if you stayed true to yourself or not.
It’s so easy to try and change who we are for someone because deep down we all want love and to be loved. However, when we don’t stay true to who we are, we aren’t in alignment to receive that in return.
Bottom line, we all deserve love in all areas in our life.
Here are some prompts to help you look at your past or current relationships:
How did/do you show up for them?
How did/do they make you feel?
Do you notice any patterns?
What kind of relationships did you grow up with? (any authority figure in your life)
Do you notice any similarities?
Was it easy for you to express your feelings growing up? If not, why?
Do you trust that you get to be you and attract loving relationships that see you fully?
If you had a relationship where they cheated or hurt you.
First, I want you to know you are incredibly strong and I promise it will get better.
Second, I want you to see how this happen to help you grow.
I know this is hard to see how this could ever be a good thing, but I want to challenge you here.
Look at how much stronger and aware of yourself this made you. Or what boundaries you have now.
It never makes it okay, but I am a firm believer that everything does happen for a reason.
Now it’s time to get clear on what you want to attract and create.
What kind of relationships do you wish for?
Bring all those qualities in now for yourself.
If you said you want a relationship where the person is extremely thoughtful and surprises you.
How can you be thoughtful with yourself? How can you treat yourself?
If you want friendships that you can be 100% yourself with.
How can you be 100% yourself everywhere you go.
Remember, you are worthy of having the best relationships!
It all starts with YOU.
As always, Choose to live EMpowered.
